Simple Sentences

A simple sentence has one complete thought and only one subject-verb connection.

1. Simple subject, simple predicate.

Example: Gretchen goes to school. Richard plays basketball.

2. Simple subject, compound predicate.

Example: Linda went to the market and bought fruits. Nelson turns on the radio and listens to the music.
